Kathryn is a recognized design partner who has worked in product development for twenty years in researcher, designer, tester, manager and strategist roles for large scale manufacturers, small dynamic startups and consulting firms.  She is passionate about  designing technology to fit human capabilities, both physical and cognitive, and has successfully proven her skill for achieving awesome user experiences across several domains including medical, consumer, military and industrial, as her products have received several recognitions and awards for superior usability and customer appeal. As an invited speaker and workshop leader, she loves getting clients engrossed in user-centered thinking and helping them develop formalized programs and processes.  She has authored numerous publications and is a co-inventor on a handful of patents. She is an active committee member of several professional societies including HFES, SWE and AAMI.


When not helping clients build fantastic user interfaces or develop UX thinking, Kathryn is an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University, where she teaches Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction and Cognitive Engineering to budding biomedical engineers and product designers. You might also catch her buried in food magazines, running marathons or hanging out at the park with her daughters and husband.
